BatteryUPSforLESS SHIPPING POLICY

Shipping Time

  • Shipping time varies with the orders placed and shipping method.  Typical orders on refurbished items may require 3-5 days processing time are new batteries are installed prior to shipment.  Items are shipped via economy ground and delivery time can vary from 3-14 days depending on location.

Shipping Method

We ship using UPS form our Richmond, Ontario warehouse. In cases where the order is large, the goods will ship using a trucking carrier of our choice. 

Pickups

Goods may be picked up from our warehouse in Richmond Hill, Ontario if you wish; however, the same time frames apply to the availability for pickup.
We offer shipping through UPS, although if another carrier is requested we are happy to help on behalf of the client which he will be responsible of all shipping expenses.
There is a packing cost for packages that are picked up from our warehouse using another carrier besides ours.

Damage During Transit

All shipments are insured by us when being shipped freight prepaid. If any item arrives physically damaged, please contact us within 48 hours to notify us that the shipment was damaged so that we may begin insurance claim procedures with the appropriate carrier. In the meantime, if we have stock, we will ship an immediate replacement for the damaged item and once the damage has been inspected by the carrier, we will make arrangements to bring it back at our expense. 

If the shipment was being sent freight collect, then you have to initiate the appropriate claim procedures. 

PRODUCT RETURN/WARRANTY POLICY

All new products sold by BatteryUPSforLESS are covered by the direct manufacturer's warranty, usually 3 years. Please contact the manufacturer directly for warranty and replacement issues.

All other refurbished products sold by BatteryUPSforLESS are covered by both the BatteryUPSforLESS 30 day Lemon Warranty and 1 year Standard Warranty. 

If product is defective:

  • “Lemon Warranty” - Within 30 days from date of receipt by customer
    • We will arrange to have the defective item picked up and brought back to our facilities at our expense.
    • At the same time we will ship a replacement product, at our expense, that is identical or better than the unit being returned.
    • If we are unable to ship replacement product, we will issue a full refund including any shipping and handling costs paid by the customer at time of purchase.
    • The ups's were tested with our own batteries and the Lemon warranty only applies to the ups's with batteries purchased from BatteryUPSForLess
    • Ups's without batteries are not covered by the Lemon warranty.
    • Batteries cannot be returned and do not benefit of the Lemon warranty.
    • For all returns we must receive the products in the same package that they were sent.

o    Lemon warranty coverage for first 30 days and standard warranty of 1-year will restart again on the replacement item from the date of receipt of the replacement product by the customer.

  • “Standard Warranty” - Between 31 and 365 days from date of receipt by customer
    • Customer has to ship the defective UPS back to us at their expense.
    • We will repair the unit and return to customer at our expense.
    • If we are unable to repair, we will ship replacement to customer at our expense.
    • If we are unable to repair or ship replacement product, we will issue a full refund including any shipping and handling costs paid by the customer at time of purchase.
    • Warranty coverage of 1 year is in effect from the date of receipt of the originally purchased item.

 

Any refurbished, non-defective item may be turned to us within 1 year from date of receipt, subject to the following terms. This does not apply to new units or special order items:

 

  • Within 30 days from date of receipt by customer
    • Customer will ship non-defective product back to us at their expense.
    • 10% restocking fee will apply.
    • Once received in good working order, we will issue refund for original purchase price less the restocking.
    • Refunds are not given on shipping & handling charges.

 

  • Between 31 and 60 days from date of receipt by customer
    • Customer will ship non-defective product back to us at their expense.
    • 20% restocking fee will apply.
    • Once received in good working order, we will issue refund for original purchase price less the restocking.
    • Refunds are not given on shipping & handling charges.
    • Batteries and battery kits are not returnable after 30 days.

 

  • Between 61 and 365 days from date of receipt by customer
    • Customer will ship non-defective product back to us at their expense.
    • Cash/credit card refunds will not be given refunds will only be in the form of a store credit against future purchases.
    • Cost of batteries will not be refunded since the batteries are a consumable and cannot be resold as “new”. The current price of replacement batteries will be deducted from the original purchase price.
    • 25% restocking fee will apply on the balance.
    • Once received in good working order, we will issue a store credit for the original purchase price less the restocking charge and battery cost.
    • Refunds are not given on shipping & handling charges.
